By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

Feasibility and technical studies continue on integration of SOCAR Fiber Optic and Millenicom networks, Zaur Gahramanov, CEO of SOCAR Turkey, told Trend.

“We don’t have a timeframe for that. Feasibility and technical studies on the integration continue,” he said.

Earlier, SOCAR told Trend that the network of SOCAR Fiber Optic, which envisages laying fiber optic cable along the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) route in Turkey, can be integrated with the network of Millenicom recently acquired by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR earlier acquired EWE Turkey Holding, owned by the German energy company EWE AG. Together with the holding, SOCAR acquired the holding’s assets - Bursagaz, Kayserigaz, Enervis, EWE Enerji and Millenicom.
