Bulgaria’s Bulgartransgaz company has completed preparations for rehabilitation, modernization and expansion of the Bulgarian transmission system, carried out with the financial support of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), Trend reports citing the company.
In the period October 2016 - October 2019, preparatory activities have been carried out for rehabilitation and replacement of a 58 km section of the Northern semi-ring of Bulgartransgaz EAD gas transmission system, namely PF Beglezh - VA Dermantsi - VA Batultsi - VA Kalugerovo, said the company.
With the funding granted, in the period November 2016 - April 2017, preparatory activities have been carried out for modernization of three compressor stations - CS Lozenets, CS Ihtiman and CS Petrich.
The developed analysis and technical specification served for the successful award of public procurement with subject “Modernization of 3 compressor stations by integrating 4 low-emission gas turbine compressor units”, which is in the process of implementation.
Bulgartransgaz EAD is a combined operator performing licensed activities of natural gas transmission and storage.
