SOCAR-Dalgidj LLC is completing mobilization of remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) equipment under the contract with Norway’s Equinor, Ibrahim Ahmadov, deputy head of the public relations and events department at Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, told Trend.
Ahmadov noted that in alliance partnership with UK-based Oceaneering International, Socar-Dalgidj is participating in Equinor’s project as a subcontractor.
Socar-Dalgidj is providing ROV equipment installed on the platform of Dada Gorgud semi-submersible drilling rig, as well as qualified personnel to support drilling operations, he explained.
The contracts were signed in September 2019 and currently, the process of mobilization of the equipment and personnel is close to completion, added SOCAR’s representative.
SOCAR-Dalgidj company was established in 2015 as a joint venture between Dalgidj LLC and the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR. The company created a strategic alliance with Oceaneering in 2016 to render underwater services including project management, engineering, inspection, maintenance, repair and diving services in the Caspian Sea.
