Chemical products account for over 10 percent of Turkey’s total exports for 10 months(Exclusive)

From January through October 2019, the export of Turkish chemical products increased by 18.1 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and reached $16.9 billion, Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend Nov. 14.

The share of exports of chemical products during the reporting period has reached 11.4 percent of Turkey’s total export.

"The export of Turkish chemical products increased by 22.2 percent and reached $1.9 billion in October 2019 compared to October 2018, which is 11.8 percent of the total exports in October 2019,” the ministry said.

Over the past 12 months (October 2018-October 2019), exports of these goods increased by 16.6 percent compared to the same period in 2017-2018 and amounted to $19.9 billion, the ministry added.

From January through October 2019, Turkish exports grew by 1.6 percent, compared with export figures for the same period in 2018, amounting to $137 billion.

In October 2019, Turkish exports decreased by 0.3 percent compared to October 2018, amounting to $15.2 billion.
