Turkmenistan conducting geophysical surveys in western Balkan province

Turkmenistan’s Turkmengeology State Corporation is conducting comprehensive geophysical surveys in the country’s western Balkan province, Trend reports referring to the corporation.

The work is being actively carried out at Gamishlija, Garadashli, Azatlik, Aytjan promising areas.

Work has been carried out on a territory of 408 square kilometers through 3D seismic measurement while on a total area of 940.5 linear kilometers through 2D seismic measurement since the beginning of the year.

The 4D seismic measurement, which is used in the development of oil fields, is planned to be introduced in the future. It is effectively used to monitor the movement of liquids in an underground reservoir.

Geologists have gained great experience in prospecting and seismic exploration on the territory of the Gumdag field, Indarlan, Kelkar promising areas, located among Jebel, Goturdepe and Uzynada fields.
