TEHRAN, Iran, Jan.20

Trend:

Iran's gas extraction at the South Pars gas field has reached 650 million cubic meters per day, while Qatar extracts around 540 million cubic meters per day, said Commander of Khatam Al -Anbiya Headquarters (subordinate to IRGC), Saeed Mohammad said, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.

"There is a risk of pressure in the wells dropping down," he said.

Speaking of Phase 11 of the South Pars gas field, he said that the construction of the phase was set back due to delays of foreign companies' work.

"Khatam Al-Anbiya has announced readiness to work on Phase 11, although nothing is certain yet," Mohammad said.

"Phase 11 can be completed with help from domestic experts and companies," he said.

Mohammad said that there are still small issues related to work of South Pars phases that need to be addressed, while phases 13, 15, 16, 22, 23 and 24 are extracting gas.

"SADRA Iran Marine Industrial Company has constructed 10 offshore platforms for South Pars gas field. Three platforms are at 95%, and will be ready in the next three months," he said.
