Kazakh CASPI BITUM exceeds planned bitumen manufacturing volumes

Volume of road bitumen manufacturing by Kazakhstan’s CASPI BITUM Joint Venture amounted to 369,073 tons in 2019, which is 23 percent more that the planned volume, Trend reports with reference to the KazMunayGas National Company.

This is compared to 308,286 tons of road bitumen manufactured by CASPI BITUM in 2018.

Oil processing volume amounted to 885,969 tons, which also is 15 percent more than the planned volume.

Leading Kazakh region by road bitumen use manufactured by CASPI BITUM were Mangystau, Almaty and Aktobe regions. Some 18.5 percent, 18.1 percent and 10.6 percent of the total road bitumen use account for these regions respectively.

KazMunayGas National Company is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.

CASPI BITUM is a joint venture of KazMunayGas National Company and CITIC Kazakhstan companies. Two types of bitumen are manufactured at the plant: viscous petroleum bitumen and modified, bitumen petroleum bitumen.
