Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan plans to drill a total of 39 wells at Surakhani, Garachukhur, Balakhani, Ramana, Buzovna and Gala fields in 2020, a source in the country's oil and gas market told Trend.
The source noted that in 2019, the company drilled 35 wells Surakhani, Balakhani, Ramana, Buzovna and Galmaz fields.
Moreover, as the source said, the company is in negotiations on new projects as well as on expanding its business abroad. However, the source didn’t provide further details about the mentioned projects.
The source noted that Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan doesn’t plan to obtain new rigs for 2020.
Gulf Drilling Azerbaijan, established in 2007, is a subsidiary of Gulf Drilling Supply FZE (UAE). The Azerbaijani branch of the company is engaged in drilling vertical and directional wells for the production of oil, gas and water, as well as sidetracking and overhauling of wells.
