Azerbaijan’s Helind company is implementing renewable energy projects in Azerbaijani districts, business manager of the company Orkhan Guluzade said in an interview with Trend.
“The company directly exports the manufactured hardware in the field of alternative energy to the US, Turkey and China,” Guluzade said. “Moreover, the company has distributors who purchase products in big volumes.”
Touching upon the development of alternative energy sources in the Azerbaijani districts, the business manager stressed that the projects related to the use of alternative energy sources are mainly implemented in remote areas in which there is no electricity.
“Alternative energy panels are installed on the farms in mountainous areas, small recreation zones and telecommunication stations,” the business manager said.
"We build very few panels in the areas which have electricity because it is impossible to sell energy which has been already generated by the system over the network in Azerbaijan,” the business manager added. “For example, you are building a solar energy system for your house. As is known, the system produces energy only in the daytime and energy is less consumed during these hours as people are at work.”
“The energy, which is not used, is automatically sold upon the European practice over the network and a user, coming at night, returns this energy and saves his/her expenses,” Guluzade added. “But this system has not been used in Azerbaijan, but we hope that it will be launched at the end of this year or next year."
“The main part of the alternative energy panels is installed in such districts as Shamakhi, Guba, Gusar, Khizi, Shabran, Goranboy, Gazakh and others,” the business manager added.
“The company is currently installing solar, wind and water energy panels,” the business manager said. “The company also produces controllers for each type of installed energy panels and optimizes the equipment.”
“The local production has several advantages,” Guluzade said. “It reduces the cost of the panel, the service life, facilitates the provision of the product, and, if necessary, it may be changed at the request of the client.”
Helind produces hardware for alternative energy equipment. Helind is the first company in Azerbaijan which produces controllers for equipment related to alternative energy sources. The company is engaged not only in hardware production but also in maintenance. It also renders software services.
