Modern combined cycle gas turbine commissioned in Uzbekistan

The first of two modern 280 mW combined cycle gas turbine units has been put into combined operation at the Takhiatash Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The combined-cycle plants should help cover power needs in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions, the report says.

A large investment project on construction of two modern steam-gas plants at Tahiatash thermal power station is being implemented in accordance with the decision of the President of Uzbekistan from 11 September 2017.

The given investment project is implemented jointly by consortium of Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd.
