Electricity supplies in Azerbaijan by Azerishig OJSC amounted to 17.2 billion kilowatt hours, losses amounted to 9.7 percent, Trend reports citing a report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the report, the level of collection for electricity consumed from the beginning of 2020 amounted to 95.7 percent.
In 2019, about 4,613 kilometers of power lines of various voltages were laid and repaired to improve the power supply.
In 2019, the number of consumers of electricity provided by Azerishig OJSC increased and amounted to 2.6 million, 2.4 million of which accounted for consumers among the population, 178,300 - legal entities and organizations.
The main mission of Azerishig OJSC is the provision of the country with uninterrupted and high-quality power supply and a high level service for customers. Guided by these principles, Azerishig is still carrying out large-scale reconstruction and repair work. Outdated and low-quality equipment is replaced by more powerful and new equipment.
Moreover, new substations are being built, complete transformer substations (mini- substations) are being installed and cable lines are being laid.
