The production of Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company (STPC) at the Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone of Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran has set records in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Trend reports official website of the company.
According to the report, STPC supplied 1.08 million tons of products last Iranian year. The production increased by 15 percent compared to the preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 20, 2019).
The PTA-1 section of the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Plant produced 267,400 tons of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) products, and the production volume increased by 20 percent compared to the preceding year.
Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company is the only company in Iran that produces Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). The company's sales increased by 10 percent and 630,000 tons of products were sold, the report said.
Shahid Tondguyan petrochemical company, which started operating in 1998 on an area of 34 hectares in the Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone in Khuzestan province, produces both PTA and PET products. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company of Iran.
