Uzbekneftegaz JSC received an industrial gas inflow at well number 16 at Arslan field of Ustyurt oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports citing the company's press service.
As a result of perforation work performed at 3432 – 3586 meters and installation of filter, industrial gas inflow with daily flow rate of 150,000 cubic meters and two tons of gas condensate was obtained.
Arslan gas condensate field is located in the Muynak District of Karakalpakstan and it was commissioned in 2015.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekneftegaz JSC received an industrial gas inflow at well number 86 at Shimoly Berdak field of Ustyurt oil and gas production department. Commercial gas inflow was received with daily flow rate of 100,000 cubic meters and 1.2 tons of gas condensate was obtained.
The national holding company Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
At the beginning of 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Uzbekneftegaz to thoroughly analyze each field and ensure the increase in gas production.
