The production of heavy polyethylene have been increased at the Ilam Petrochemical Company of Ilam province in western Iran in the first month of the current Iranian year (March 20-April 19, 2020), said Executive Director of Ilam Petrochemical Company Hassan Najafi Semnani, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to Najafi Semnani, this increase was achieved by using 38 tons of fuel per hour at the company's plant.
Najafi Semnani added that the commissioning of the second phase (olefin phase) of the company's plant will increase the company's revenues and employment in the province.
More than 3.5 percent of Iran's oil reserves and more than 11 percent of gas reserves are in Ilam province.
The Iran’s Ilam Petrochemical Company plans to put into operation an olefin phase. This phase will produce 750,000 tons of ethylene, propylene, pyrolysis gasoline per year.
At present, the company employs 2,190 people.
