Deputy Minister says Iran's petrochemical plans to be achieved on time

Iran's petrochemical plan will be 100 percent fulfilled by the end of the next year (will start March 21, 2021), Iranian Deputy Oil Minister and Executive Director of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company Behzad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.

According to Mohammadi, 27 facilities will be commissioned within the development of Iran's petrochemical industry by the end of next Iranian year.

Mohammadi added that thus, Iran's petrochemical production will increase from 66 million tons to 100 million tons per year.

The deputy minister said that the current revenues of Iran's petrochemical industry stand at $15 billion, and this figure will increase to $25 billion.

Mohammadi said that 16 petrochemical facilities will be commissioned by the end of the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).

"With the implementation of the next plan in 2026, Iran's petrochemical production will reach 133 million tons per year and revenues in this area will increase to $37 billion,” he said.
