Turkmenistan produced more than 86,000 tons of liquefied gas during the first 5 months of 2020, which is 13,000 tons more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Online Newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan.
In general, during the mentioned period, gas production in Turkmenistan was about 30 billion cubic meters, and natural gas exports exceeded 14 billion cubic meters during the same period.
Furthermore, the country manufactured more than 746,000 tons of diesel fuel and 750,000 tons of gasoline.
In addition to gas, the country also produced more than 4 million tons of oil, as well as increased production capacity of refineries, the petrochemical industry, improved product quality, and expanded its range.
The country seeks to diversify energy supplies to world markets. To achieve this goal, Turkmenistan has implemented a number of projects, one of which is the interstate Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, which has made Turkmenistan the largest supplier of pipeline gas to the middle Kingdom.
Natural gas consumption is increasing in the country's domestic market, due to the commissioning of industrial and social facilities.
