Iran reveals its recent gas export data

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

Iran's gas exports increased by about 3.6 billion cubic meters in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hassan Montazer Torbati said, Trend reports referring to the company’s official website.

According to him, Iran's gas exports increased by 26 percent last Iranian year. Overall, Iran exported 17.5 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year.

Torbati added that last year, the volume of Iran's gas production was about 270 billion cubic meters.

“Last year, gas consumption in residential, commercial and industrial facilities increased by about 10 billion cubic meters,” he said.

Iran consumed about 112 billion cubic meters of gas in housing, trade and catering and industrial sectors in the last Iranian year. Also, 60.6 billion cubic meters of gas were delivered to the country's thermal power plants in the last Iranian year.

Iran produces 800 million cubic meters of gas per day.
