Iran Ministry of Energy has allocated financial resources for water supply projects in the country's Bushehr province, Energy Minister said.
“Accelerating the implementation of water supply projects is a priority for the ministry,” Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian said during a meeting with Bushehr Governor Abdulkarim Garavand, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He emphasized that necessary funds will be also provided to complete desalination projects in the cities and villages of Bushehr province.
“In addition to modernizing the water supply networks in the province, implementation of desalination projects has also begun,” Garavand said. "Bushehr desalination project has an important role in solving water supply problems including eliminating water rationing in the southern regions of this city."
The governor of Bushehr went on to say that currently, implementation of Bushehr desalination project with capacity of 35,000 m3/d and Siraf-Jam desalination project with capacity of 28,000 m3/d is underway.
Referring to implementation of sewerage network projects in Bushehr, he said that the project has been implemented in historic areas of the province.
