Gas tariff to remain unchanged in Georgia for three years

In Georgia, the natural gas tariff will remain unchanged for three years, said Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) David Narmania, Trend reports with reference to Georgian media.

According to Narmania, many factors and constituents are taken into account when the gas tariff is calculated.

“There is a special formula by which the commission calculates the gas tariff. We have maintained the same tariff for gas, and over the three-year period from 2020 through 2022, the gas tariff will remain unchanged,” said the GNERC chairman.

He added that an unscheduled review of the electricity tariff is not planned.

Meanwhile, the tariff for the consumers of SOCAR Georgia Gas remained unchanged and equals 56.928 tetri/m3 (18.69 cents/m3).

The tariff of Sakgorgzai also has not changed and stands at 56.990 tetri/m3 (18.7 cents/m3).

The DVS company tariff including VAT is 43.500 tetri/m3 (14.28 cents/m3), Didi Digomi LLC tariff - 50.899 tetri/m3 (16.71 cents/m3), and Gasko - 48.301 tetri/m3 (15.86 cents/m3).

The GAMA company tariff decreased by 3.371 tetri (1.11 cents) and equaled 1.671 tetri/m3 (55 cents/m3), while the fare set by Gogochuri LLC dropped by 3.583 tetri (1.18 censt) to 1.510 tetri/m3 (50 cents/m3).

The Energy+ LLC tariff will be 6.046 tetri (1.98 cents) having decreased by 4.183 tetri (1.37 cents).
