Azerbaijan’s proven oil reserves stood at 7 billion barrels for 2019, unchanged from 2018 estimates, Trend reports citing OPEC’s 2020 Annual Statistical Bulletin.
The country’s crude oil production dropped by 6.4 percent from 725,000 barrels per day in 2018 to 678,500 barrels per day in 2019.
Azerbaijan produced 729,200 barrels per day in 2017, 769,800 barrels per day in 2016 and 786,700 barrels per day in 2015.
Output of petroleum products by the country rose by 14.9 percent in 2019 year-on-year from 114,000 barrels per calendar day in 2018 to 131,000 barrels per calendar day in 2019.
The dynamics of output of petroleum products in Azerbaijan in previous years was as follow: 107,000 barrels per calendar day in 2017, 114,000 barrels per calendar day in 2016 and 125,000 barrels per calendar day in 2015.
Crude oil exports by Azerbaijan dropped from 608,600 barrels per day in 2018 to 559,300 barrels per day in 2019, which is a decrease by 8.1 percent.
The country’s crude oil exports stood at 615,300 barrels per day in 2017, 655,100 barrels per day in 2016 and 663,100 barrels per day in 2015.
Crude oil and petroleum products exports by Azerbaijan dropped by 7.7 percent year-on-year in 2019 from 634,900 barrels per day in 2018 to 586,000 barrels per day in 2019.
Crude oil and petroleum products exports by Azerbaijan equaled to 711,200 barrels per day in 2015, 691,900 barrels per day in 2016, 640,100 barrels per day in 2017.
