More than $13.5 billion is being invested in construction of Mokran Petrochemical City in the Chabahar Free Zone, said Managing Director of the complex Alireza Moniri Abyaneh, Trend reports via IRNA.
"The major infrastructures of petrochemical city including streets , water channels, power services, installing optical fiber and communications have been completed," said Abyaneh.
"The construction of Mokran Petrochemical City started in 2012, as a total of 18 upstream petrochemical complexes set to be part of the city," said Abyaneh.
"Mokran Petrochemical City would act as a corridor and supply products to the export terminals of the Shahid Beheshti Port," he said.
" Badr-e-Shargh Petrochemical Complex would be one of the first units in the city, that expected to produce 1.6 million tons of methanol," said Abyaneh
"The petrochemical city in Chabahar Free Zone was allocated 1,200 hectare land to infrastructure. Foreign and domestic investors are welcomed to invest in the petrochemical complex," said Abyaneh.
