Iran's Rey TPP boosts its electricity production

The electricity production at the Thermal Power Plant in Rey city of Tehran Province, increased by 183 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, said Hamid Badorestani, director of Rey Thermal Power Plant, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

The director noted that during 4 months, the TPP generated 887 million kilowatt hours of electricity.

He added that 881 million kilowatt-hours of electricity generated have been delivered to Iran's electricity network.

Badorestani said that the plant's 21 gas units with a production capacity of 754 megawatts can generate 1.33 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in four months.

Iran's Rey Thermal Power Plant has a total of 29 gas turbines and the production capacity of this power plant is 979.4 megawatt hours.
