Turkmennebitgeofizika management of Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern performed works on the exploration of hydrocarbon deposits for almost 47 million manat (over $13 million) for seven months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
According to the plan, the amount is significantly higher than the planned volume of 38.3 million manat (over $10 million).
Turkmenistan produced a significant amount of oil in the first half of 2020.
In 1H2020, the country exceeded oil and gas production plan by 7.6 percent, oil refining - by 2.6 percent, gasoline production – by 5.1 percent, diesel fuel – by 5.1 percent. The growth rate of liquefied gas production was exceeded by 12.2 percent.
It was decided to introduce digital technologies in oil companies, as well as improve the production activities of concerns based on the fact that prices for hydrocarbon resources have fallen on the world market.
Increasing the volume of local oil and gas production, maintaining high growth rates and investment activity in this area are the main tasks of Turkmenistan.
