BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.21

By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:

Azerbaijan plans to build four power supply substations in Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, and Gubadli districts, Azerenerji and Azerishig OJSCs told Trend.

According to the companies, design work related to the future construction of 35 kV substations in the districts is being carried out.

"Work is also underway to supply equipment for the substations and power transmission lines under construction in other directions. It’s initially planned to quickly conduct electric work at the substations, including high-voltage lines and establish a power distribution network during the subsequent urban planning work," the companies said.

As reported, in general, design work on the provision of electricity and the renewal of existing power lines in all territories that will be liberated from the occupation will be carried out as quickly as possible.

Azerenerji is completing design work on the construction and installation of new 110 kV substations, as well as design work on the construction of 110 kV two-wire high-voltage power lines in the districts of Azerbaijan freed from occupation.

First, it’s planned to build four 110 kV substations and lay power lines between them in the forenamed districts.

"The goal is to provide the districts and villages liberated from the occupation with electricity in the shortest possible time. Thus, our light will soon be on in the districts liberated from the occupation. At present, Azerenerji and Azerishig are awaiting an order from President Ilham Aliyev to start work," Azerenerji summed up.
