Uzbekneftegaz plans to increase natural gas production by the end of 2020 to 34.6 billion cubic meters, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
By the end of 2020, Uzbekneftegaz plans to launch 77 wells, overhaul 171 wells, build and start operating compressor stations at the Uchkir, Zevarda, and Alan fields.
The Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullayev held a video conference during which the work done in the industry for nine months of this year was critically analyzed and tasks were identified to increase natural gas production and supply it to the domestic market.
In addition, the tasks were set to complete the construction of 35 prospecting and exploration wells by the end of this year, as well as to increase the reserves of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons by 20 billion cubic meters and 620,000 tons, respectively.
On October 21, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to increase in the production of energy resources in the country. In particular, the production of oil and condensate by the end of the year should grow to 740,000 tons and the production of liquefied gas and polyethylene by 203,000 tons and 125,000 tons, respectively.
