Uzbekneftegaz JSC developed and implemented technological solutions for the accelerated commissioning of technological devices based on the needs of the population of Uzbekistan in liquefied gas in the autumn-winter period, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz.

Members of the working group headed by the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullayev got acquainted with the progress of construction and installation work carried out at the final stage of the investment project on modernization of propane-butane separation equipment 1, 2, and 5 in the main building of the Shurtan oil and gas production department.

According to the technical solutions developed within the framework of the project, modernization work is underway to increase the separation of the propane-butane mixture from the composition of natural gas in the existing units for extracting propane-butane mixtures.

As a result of the modernization, an additional 61,000 tons of liquefied gas will be produced per year and directed to the needs of Uzbekistan's population, utilities, and industry.

In order to implement the project, along with Ukrainian Sumy NPO, Russian KMPO, NIPI NG PETON, Electrostandard-instrument, Swiss Endress + Hauser, and other foreign manufacturers, the supply of technological equipment is carried out under contracts for the purchase of equipment manufactured by Uzbekkhimmash Plant JSC and Uzpromarm.

To date, measures have been taken to increase the production of liquefied gas through the phased implementation of project activities using equipment and apparatus supplied under the project.

Work was carried out to install separators in the 2nd and 5th branches of the propane-butane mixture production unit, install new Peton contact elements instead of the internal elements of the Deethanizer columns, replace outdated control valves and install a methanol spraying system.

To date, technological solutions have been developed and implemented for the accelerated commissioning of devices based on the population's demand for liquefied gas in the autumn-winter period.

Installation of the supplied technological devices and equipment, installation of main inter-shop pipelines is 98 percent complete.
