By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Currently, Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern, Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Denmark's Haldor Topsoe A/S are continuing negotiations related to the second gas to high quality and environment-friendly gasoline plant project, representative of Denmark’s Haldor Topsoe A/S in Turkmenistan Vadim Shiriev told Trend.

As a COVID-19 impact, most of the meetings are being held online, said Shiriev.

“Apart from that, the project preparation phase is continued in line with the timeline and we expect to finalize the contract and approve it with all the parties at the beginning of 2021,” added Shiriev.

In addition, other things Tapsoe currently discusses include the direct supply of Topsoe’s catalysts to Turkmenistan and the Service agreement for the first gas to gasoline plant.

As it was reported earlier, Denmark’s Haldor Topsoe and Turkmenistan are participating in discussions of new projects which will help Turkmenistan monetize large reserves of natural gas.

“Topsoe is a licenser of two successfully operating plants in Turkmenistan: an ammonia plant near the Garabogaz Bay and the recently launched GTG plant, located in the Ovadan-Depe area, producing gasoline from natural gas. Currently, we are participating in discussions of new projects which will help Turkmenistan monetize their large reserves of natural gas,” said earlier Shiriev.
