Petroleum products prices increase in Kazakhstan

Prices of Kazakhstan’s industrial manufacturers decreased by 2.1 percent in Oct. 2020 compared to Sept. 2020 and by 6.7 percent compared to Dec. 2019, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Thus, the pricing in the mining industry decreased on oil by 7.2 percent in Oct. compared to Sept., on natural gas by 2 percent, whereas prices on metal ores increased by 4.3 percent.

During the same period this year the prices on copper increased by 4.1 percent, on aluminum by 2.4 percent, on zinc by 2.2 percent, on rolled ferrous metals by 0.9 percent.

In turn, prices on precious metals dropped by 1.8, lead by 1.3 percent, ferroalloys by 0.7 percent. Among petroleum products, liquefied propane and butane rose in price by 9.1 percent, and fuel oil decreased by 5.1 percent, diesel fuel by 1.2 percent.

Among food products, manufacturers' prices increased for vegetable oil by 6.6 percent, sugar by 3 percent, rye flour by 2.9 percent, wheat by 0.9 percent, rice by 2.2 percent, pasta by 1.5 percent, bread by 1.3 percent, dairy products and cereals 0.8 percent each. In turn, livestock meat decreased by 1.8 percent, poultry by 1 percent, tea by 1.6 percent.

In electricity and water supply, prices for electricity, including distribution services, increased by 0.2 percent, for services for the supply of steam and hot water - decreased by 1.2 percent.
