Georgia shows decreasing trend of energy consumption

Georgia shows a decreasing trend of energy consumption, Trend reports via Georgia's Commercial Operator of the Electricity System (ESCO)

In 9 months, the country consumed up to 9 billion kWh of electricity that is 6.4 percent or 615 million kWh less than in the previous year.

Exports also fell and in 9 months of the current year, Georgia exported 152 million kWh of electricity that is 36 percent less than last year.

In the reporting period, the country imported 927 million kWh of electricity.

In the first days of November, imports are carried out from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
