New chemical plants being built in Turkmenistan

New chemical enterprises are being built in Turkmenistan to expand the industry, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

Thus, The Turkmenabat Chemical Plant of Turkmenistan plans to open a shop for the production of concentrated phosphorous fertilizers with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year.

Also, a complex for the production of potash fertilizers with a capacity of 1.4 million tons per year will be built at the Garabil potash salt deposit in Turkmenistan’s Lebap region.

A complex for the production of nitrogen fertilizers will be built in the city of Mary.

In addition, the Balkan region is preparing to launch the second stage of the plant for the production of 1.1 million tons of urea per year, and the Balkanabat plant in the village of Gumdag of Balkan region will launch installations with a capacity of 250 tons of technical iodine and 2,350 tons of bromine and bromine products per year.

In addition, the construction of factories with a capacity of 200 tons of technical iodine and 2,000 tons of bromine and bromine products per year is planned in the village of Uzboy, facilities for the annual production of 300 tons of technical iodine and 5,500 tons of bromine and bromine products, complexes for the production of caustic soda, chlorine and chlorine products.

The commissioning of facilities that are important for industrial diversification will allow the production of new types of chemical products supplied to the domestic market and abroad.
