Ukrtransnafta to sell Azeri Light to Belarusian Oil Company

Public Joint Stock Company Ukrtransnafta has been authorized by its sole shareholder Naftogaz of Ukraine to sign a contract to sell 80,000 tons of Azeri Light oil to BNK (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of Belarusian Oil Company, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.

Ukrtransnafta sold 10,000 tons of Azeri Light oil via online exchange trading on Oct.30. The oil was bought from Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR during the period of lower prices.

Ukrtransnafta signed an agreement with SOCAR Trading in early April 2020 to buy two tankers of 700,000 barrels Azeri Light oil.

Public Joint Stock Company Ukrtransnafta was created in 2001 on the basis of State-Owned Joint Stock Company «Main Pipelines Druzhba and State-Owned Joint Stock Company Prydniprovski Main Pipelines (which are the Company’s branches at present) for the purpose of optimizing the operation of Ukraine’s oil transportation system and implementing a uniform policy in this field.

In 2007, a branch styled Pivdenni Main Pipelines were created within the Company by a resolution of the Shareholders of Open Joint Stock Company Ukrtransnafta dated August 10, 2007.

In connection with bringing the Articles of Association and the internal documents of Open Joint Stock Company Ukrtransnafta in accordance with the provisions of Joint Stock Companies Act of Ukraine No. 514-VI dated September 17, 2008, the Company was renamed to Public Joint Stock Company Ukrtransnafta (abbreviated name: PJSC Ukrtransnafta) on June 10, 2011.
National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine is the founder and sole shareholder of the Company.
