World LNG exports in GECF estimates

World liquified natural gas (LNG) exports have increased from 300.57 billion cubic meters in 2010 to 480.78 billion cubic meters in 2019, Trend reports with reference to estimates of Gas Exporters Countries Forum (GECF).

LNG exports stood at 330.60 billion cubic meters in 2011, dropping to 323.58 billion cubic meters in 2012, then recovering to 325.15 billion cubic meters in 2013 and 326.73 billion cubic meters in 2014.

The upward trend continued in 2015 with 330.59 billion cubic meters and further rising to 352.30 billion cubic meters in 2016, 396.63 billion cubic meters in 2017 and 429.90 billion cubic meters in 2018.

GECF’s share in the world LNG exports varied between 54 percent and 65 percent during this period.

LNG exports by GECF countries, including observers, stood at 176.46 bcm in 2010, 210.26 bcm in 2011, 207.86 bcm in 2012, 211.53 bcm in 2013, 212.87 bcm in 2014, 212.47 bcm in 2015, 212.48 bcm in 2016, 222.30 bcm in 2017, 235.89 bcm in 2018 and 259.03 bcm in 2019.
