Iran reveals foreign investments in Dena Petrochemical plant

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 23

A foreign investor will invest 100 million euro worth of foreign investments on the construction of Iran's Dena petrochemical plant, Executive Director of Iran's Sepehr Energy Holding, Davoud Bagheri told Shana news agency, Trend reports.

He made the remark after the signing ceremony of a cooperation contract with a foreign investor.

Bagheri emphasized that there will be 25-percent progress on the construction of this plant over the next year with the investments.

The director added that the plant will produce 1.65 million tons of methanol per year after put into operation.

Bagheri noted that Sepehr Energy Holding is also taking necessary steps on the construction of one more petrochemical plants.

“Another plant is the Sabalan petrochemical plant. Thus, there is a 97-percent progress on the construction of the plant,“ he said.

The Sabalan petrochemical plant will also produce 1.65 million tons of methanol per year.

Due to the new US sanctions imposed on Iran in November 2018 and the gradually increasing of the sanctions, Iran does not declare in detail to the media information about foreign investment and investors in the country.
