BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec.7

Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev and Head of Aktobe region Ondasyn Urazalin visited a number of facilities of the fuel-energy complex in Aktobe region, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

During the visit to Aktobe CHP (combined heat-and-power) station, Nogayev has taken part in laying a capsule for the construction of a 57 MW gas turbine unit. In 2020, there began dismantling work to prepare the territory for the construction of a gas turbine unit with a waste heat boiler, as well as the delivery and warehousing of equipment for the boiler.

In 2022, it’s planned to implement a project to commission a new 57 MW gas turbine and a waste heat boiler.

This installation will increase additional capacity, which will have a positive effect on the reliability of power supply to consumers in the Aktobe region. The construction will make it possible to increase the plant's capacity from 118 MW to 175 MW.
