WTL notes Turkmenistan's ability to get financial benefits from export of associated petroleum gas

Turkmenistan can get financial benefits from the export of associated petroleum gas, said director of Westport Trading Europe Limited's branch in Turkmenistan Allaberdy Ilyasov, Trend reports with reference to SNG.TODAY information portal.

He noted that the developed gas transportation infrastructure of Turkmenistan has potential in this direction.

According to him, associated petroleum gas can be used in the future for the production of aviation fuel, propane, and propane-butane for automobiles. In addition, such fuel will be environmentally friendly.

The expert explained that as a result of processing associated petroleum gas, you can get a fraction that is close to dry natural gas in its properties.

According to the representative of WTL, large-scale work in this direction is currently being carried out on the territory of Turkmenistan. According to Ilyasov, the country's oil and gas industry is implementing highly efficient modern technologies for this purpose.

Westport Trading Europe Limited company is developing a number of projects for Turkmenistan’s industrial sector.

The mentioned projects are developing taking into account environmental concerns.

WTL has created oil refining equipment for a new generation in the country.

Turkmenistan has exceeded expectations of oil and gas condensate production from January through November 2020.

The estimates of oil and gas condensate production were exceeded by 0.6 percent, oil refining – by 2.1 percent, gasoline production – by 3.9 percent, diesel fuel production – by 5.4 percent.

Also, the plan for natural and associated gas production was exceeded by 0.4 percent, gas exports – 0.2 percent, and investment development - by 6.2 percent.
