Natural gas consumption per capita in Azerbaijan has changed from 691 cubic meters in 2000 to 1,342 cubic meters in 2019, Trend reports citing Eni’s World Gas and Renewables Review 2020.
In 2005, this figure stood at 1,103 cubic meters, before dropping to 1,011 cubic meters in 2010 and recovering to 1,158 cubic meters in 2015.
The consumption nosedived to 1,123 cubic meters in 2016, further dropping to 1,078 cubic meters in 2017, before recovering to 1,087 cubic meters in 2018 and 1,342 cubic meters in 2019.
Azerbaijan’s natural gas consumption has increased from 10.82 billion cubic meters in 2018 to 13.48 billion cubic meters in 2019.
Eni company has revised up its estimates for Azerbaijan’s gas reserves from 1.435 trillion cubic meters in 2018 to 1.917 trillion cubic meters in 2019.
Azerbaijan’s natural gas imports dropped from 1.76 billion cubic meters in 2018 to 1.21 billion cubic meters in 2019.
