Turkmenistan’s Türkmenhimiya (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern has prepared a draft regulation on licensing activities for the import, production, and sale of chemical products, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was said during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The document will contribute to the creation of more favorable conditions for the organization of work on the import, production, and sale of chemical products carried out by economic sectors and local entrepreneurs.
The project has been prepared for the implementation of the decree of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on improving the organization of licensing activities in Turkmenistan, adopted on May 29, 2020.
Turkmenistan’s Türkmenhimiya (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern significantly increased the manufacture and shipment of products from January through October 2020.
The increase in the volume of manufactured products amounted to 57.8 percent compared to 10 months of last year. The shipment of goods produced by the state concern to both local and foreign markets increased by 62.3 percent.
Nitrogen fertilizers accounted for the largest share of production growth, with production increasing by 49.3 percent from January through October.
The main goal of Turkmenhimiya is to meet the needs of the national economy and the population of Turkmenistan in mineral fertilizers and chemical products, as well as to sell them abroad and make a profit.
This structure was established in 2007 to organize the management of enterprises that produce and distribute mineral fertilizers and chemical products in Turkmenistan.
In the composition, in addition to manufacturing enterprises, is the department for the provision of services in the implementation of mineral fertilizers to consumers and a branch research Institute - the Institute of chemistry.
