Tatneft, Turkmenneft sign supplemental agreement

Russian Tatneft oil company has signed an additional agreement with Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern to carry out service work to increase the flow rate of oil wells at the oil fields of Goturdepenebit oil and gas production department, Trend reports with reference to “Turkmenistan: Zolotoy Vek” (Turkmenistan: Golden Age) electronic newspaper.

The new agreement confirms the intention of the companies to continue working together until 2028 and the use of Tatneft technologies in the field of oil production intensification within the field development.

The work program includes oil fields in addition to those where Tatneft implemented its technologies from 2011 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2020.

Over the entire period of the partnership, 286,000 tons of additional oil were produced. In addition, more than 480 workplaces were created. In December, the company signed an agreement to extend operations at the field Goturdepe until 2028.

Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern and Tatneft Company that belongs to Russia’s Tatarstan have agreed to expand territories of major oil well repairs.

The parties have agreed to expand the drilling of side shafts in some oil fields.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Turkmennebit State Concern and the Tatneft company last year.

The signed document allows expanding cooperation between companies in the use of effective Tatneft technologies at Turkmennebit fields.
