Oil, natural gas prices increase in Kazakhstan year-on-year

The prices of industrial goods produced by local ventures in Kazakhstan decreased by 4.2 percent in Dec. 2020 as compared to Dec. 2019, and grew by 2.4 percent as compared to Nov. 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

In regards to the mining industry there was a decrease in prices for oil by 22.8 percent, natural gas by 8.4 percent, whereas increase of prices was observed on metal ores by 36.1 percent, coal by 2.5 percent.

In manufacturing, prices for copper increased by 32.7 percent, precious metals by 25.6 percent, aluminum by 19.8 percent, zinc by 19.4 percent, rolled ferrous metals by 7.9 percent, lead by 2.9 percent.

Prices of ferroalloys decreased by 6.8 percent.

Among petroleum products, fuel oil fell in price by 38.1 percent, diesel fuel by 13.3 percent, gasoline by 10.2 percent. In turn, liquefied propane and butane increased in price by 6.5 percent.

Furthermore, prices of vegetable oil also increased by 41.1 percent, sugar by 19.9 percent, cereals by 15.5 percent, rye flour by 14.5 percent, wheat by 12.9 percent, pasta products by 10.7 percent, tea by 10 percent, bread by 7.6 percent, dairy products by 7 percent, rice by 5.6 percent, cattle meat by 6.1 percent, poultry - by 1 percent.
