Iran to build combined cycle power plan in Mazandaran Province

A tender will be held next week for the construction of a unit of a combined cycle power plant in the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), said Mohsen Tarztalab, Managing Director of Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to the director, in this regard, it was confirmed that about 15 investors will participate in the tender.

Tarztalab added that about 250 million euros are estimated to be spent on the construction of this block.

As reported, Iran's electricity generation potential is 86,000 megawatt-hours, of which 68,000 megawatt-hours are accounted for by thermal power plants.
