The export of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to 1.2 billion cubic meters from January through February 2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, in monetary terms, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Georgia during the reporting period amounted to $180.04 million.
Azerbaijan as a whole exported more than 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through February 2021, which is by 2.5 times more than in the same period of last year.
In monetary terms, export amounted to about $357.7 million. The share of Georgia in the export of Azerbaijani gas from January through February 2021 amounted to 37.5 percent.
Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2020, which is by 0.8 percent less than in 2019.
During the reporting period, the volume of export amounted to about $ 2.2 billion in monetary terms (an increase of 7.2 percent compared to 2019).
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan reached $536.2 million in 2020.
