Zanganeh said that the well was drilled and completed with the 'Fath 46' drilling rig.

The official added that as many as 55 drilling rigs of the NIDC have already been installed in offshore and onshore areas in 6 provinces of Iran. Seventeen more drilling rigs are being relocated.

"Also, the NIDC has recently started excavations in well No. 222 of the Marun field of the NISOC with the Fath 70 drilling rig," he noted.

As reported, the National Iranian Drilling Company drilled and improved 115 oil and gas wells in Iran last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).

Iran has 125 oil fields and 59 gas fields. The country's total hydrocarbon reserves are estimated at 836 billion barrels.
