Iran's Marun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) fulfilled its crude oil production plan by 104.5 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the Executive Director for MOGPC Hamid Kavian said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Kavian stressed that the extraction from several wells in the company's oil fields increased by 3,000 barrels daily through the development work, and increased by 89,700 barrels daily due to repair and restoration work. In addition, as a result of a number of other operations, extraction increased by 4,300 barrels daily. Thus, the company's crude oil extraction increased by about 100,000 barrels daily in total.
The director added that the company also fulfilled its plan on rich gas production by 101 percent and on naphtha production by 102.5 percent.
The Marun Oil and Gas Production Company, which operates under the auspices of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), extracts oil from 404 oil wells. The company's daily oil extraction is 562,000 barrels.
About 360,000 barrels of it is transported to the Esfahan Oil Refining Company, and the rest (202,000 barrels) to the Kharg Island.
The company also extracts 570 million cubic feet (about 16.1 million cubic meters) of gas, 25,000 barrels of liquefied gas and 7,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.
