MOL Group, Kazakhstan agree on amendments to Work Program

MOL Group has reached new agreements on the Production Contract Amendment with the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Economics, the MOL Group told Trend.

“The agreement on Amendment 5 provides for the updated Work Program with the new schedule of the project delivery. The updated work program and schedule are being reviewed by the Kazakh State Authorities and are subject to official approval in 2021. The amendment allows to extend the first gas date to late 2023,” the company said.

Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) Tender Pack rework and approvals are also ongoing within the Rozhkovskoye Field Development Plan, the MOL Group said.

The company said that The FEED study relates to the Rozhkovskiy field surface facilities construction project and is a pre-requisite to future FID and EPCC.

MOL Group is in partnership with KMG EP and FIOC in its joint operational company, Uralsk Oil and Gas (UOG) in the Fedorovskiy block, where preparations are currently ongoing for the Trial Production Project.

MOL Group, as the technical leader in the project, in cooperation with its partners in delivering the roadmap towards first gas. In 2019, Rozhkovskoye Field Development Plan was approved by Kazakhstan Central Commission for Exploration and Development of minerals.

Exploration activities are also ongoing to study and define prospects at Fedorovskiy Block.
