BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar. 29

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

The Fergana Oil Refinery has put up for sale the first batch of diesel fuel of the EURO-4 standard that was not previously produced at the plant, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Fergana refinery.

It is reported that previously the quality of diesel fuel produced at the Fergana Oil Refinery (FOR) did not exceed the EURO-2 standards.

Thus, the catalyst at the diesel Hydrodesulfurization unit (HDS) was replaced with a new and more modern catalyst from the French company Axens in order to bring the quality in line with world standards, as part of the first stage of the FOR modernization program.

It was noted that due to the many years of experience of the FOR specialists, the new catalyst was independently loaded into the reactor of the HDS unit without the participation of Axens specialists.

Fergana refinery reports that later, after the appropriate commissioning works, industrial production was established, and a certificate of conformity for environmentally friendly and high-quality diesel fuel of the EURO-4 standard was obtained.

“On March 29, 2021 the first batch of EURO-4 standard diesel fuel, which was not previously produced at the plant, has been put up for sale through the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange,” the message said.

Also, it is reported that work on the modernization of the Fergana Oil Refinery continues.
