Iran’s Bistoon Power Company reveals its production data

Iran's Bistoon Power Generation Management Company generated 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the managing director of the company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to Asghari, of this volume, 3.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated by the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant, and 3.7 million kilowatt-hours by the West Islamabad Thermal Power Plant.

The director added that a total of 3.38 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was supplied to the Iranian electricity network.

“The share of the Bistoon Power Generation Management Company in Iran's electricity supply is about 2 percent,” he said.

Reportedly, electricity generation capacity of Bistoon and West Islamabad TPPs in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) is 640 megawatt-hours and 100 megawatt-hours, respectively.
