The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan are working out the issue of timely delivery of bitumen and prevention of price increases, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov said, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

“We are preparing for the 'construction season'. To fulfill the tasks of 2021, 18 million tons of crushed stone, 120,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete products, 1.3 million tons of bitumen are needed. The needs of crushed stone and reinforced concrete products, as well as 325,000 tons of bitumen, have been fully prepared,” said Atamkulov.

According to the minister, every year during the construction season, there is a shortage of bitumen and an increase in prices, which is sensitively reflected in the course of work.

“Together with the Ministry of Energy, we are working out the issue of timely delivery of bitumen and prevention of price increases. In general, 20,000 units of road construction equipment and vehicles, 81 asphalt concrete plants, 79 crushing and screening plants will be involved in construction,” the minister noted.
