Russian Rosatom Corporation can take part in different activities within implementation of ‘Azerbaijan-2030’ National Socio-Economic Development Priorities Program, Deputy Director of the International Institute for Energy Policy and Diplomacy under Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), expert of the MGIMO Center for Sustainable Development Igbal Guliyev told Trend.

According to Guliyev, the corporation can participate in such promising areas as ‘Sustainably developing competitive economy’, ‘Competitive human capital and space of modern innovations’, ‘Clean environment and ‘Green growth’ country’.

He said that activities for the development of ‘green’ infrastructure and energy projects can be successfully conducted in Azerbaijan’s liberated (from Armenian occupation during the war in autumn 2020) territories.

"For implementing the projects, regional and international cooperation is important, both in the field of technology and finance, and in the field of expertise support," Guliyev noted.

He stressed that Rosatom corporation is interested in presenting its most promising products and researches in the field of housing-communal services, renewable energy, transport, management of cities and enterprises in the Azerbaijani market.

"Rosatom has significant experience in implementing projects in the field of wind energy in Russia and abroad. At the same time, the corporation provides a systematic approach to renewable generation, which provides for the production of technological equipment, localization of production and training of personnel", Guliyev added.

"Besides, the liberated territories have significant wind energy potential. The construction of new wind farms in this region will generate additional volumes of electricity necessary for economic recovery without harming the environment," summed up the expert.
