Four billion cubic meters of natural gas per year will be purified from sulfur using zeolite as a result of the modernization of the gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite, located at the head structure of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
According to Uzbekneftegaz JSC, enterprises of the company are implementing projects for the modernization of units in order to organize stable production and ensure compliance with product quality indicators.
In particular, within the framework of the target program of Uzbekneftegaz JSC for 2021, work is underway to modernize the I-V phases of the gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite, located at the head structure of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department.
The main goal of the project is to bring the quality indicators of processed natural gas in line with the requirements of the O'zDSt-948: 2016 standard and to increase the gas processing capacities of the units.
According to the project, the equipment was prepared and supplied by the enterprises in stages based on tenders. At present, two separator apparatuses manufactured by the Uzbekkhimmash plant and 96 high-temperature ball valves manufactured by the Czech company Global Industrial Solutions have been supplied.
At present, work has begun on dismantling and assembling 42 ball valves at block III.
It is reported that outdated gas processing, petrochemical and gas chemical devices, pipeline valves are being updated, and processes are being transferred to an automatic control system. Construction and installation works are performed by the general contractor Muborakneftegazmontazh JSC.
As a result of the modernization of this technological unit, four billion cubic meters of natural gas will be purified from sulfur per year using zeolite and a reduction in the volume of processed natural gas will be prevented.
The Shurtan oil and gas production department is located in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region and was commissioned in 1980. The third stage of the shop for gas purification from sulfur using zeolite was put into operation in 1987. The stages of gas purification from sulfur compounds using zeolite are designed to purify natural gas from sulfur compounds with an annual capacity of four billion cubic meters of natural gas produced from gas fields, Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department, Gissarneftegaz JV, LUKOIL LLC Uzbekistan Operating Company.
