Equinor is working closely with KazMunayGas on the geological/geophysical studies, the Equinor representative told Trend.
Equinor signed a Joint Study Agreement with KazMunayGas in September 2019.
“The intention is to carry out geological/geophysical studies to evaluate hydrocarbon potential in the Caspian Sea and onshore. We have been working closely with KazMunayGas on this since the signing,” the rep said.
Equinor said close cooperation on the joint studies under the joint study agreement continues since September 2019.
KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
Equinor is an international energy company present in more than 30 countries worldwide, including several of the world’s most important oil and gas provinces.
